DANVILLE, Ill. (May 8, 2014) – The Midwest Open Wheel Association Sprint Car Series presented by Casey’s General Stores hits the track again this week, with a, Sunday, May 11, date at Vermilion County Speedway, in Danville, Ill.

It will be the third appearance at the track for the series – the first this year – with each prior event ending with a different winner.

Jerrod Hull won the first stop at VCS in July of 2012, followed by Korey Weyant and Critter Malone.

Last season, Jac Haudenschild picked up the win, holding off Shane Stewart and AJ Bruns. Jason Leffler, who lost his life in a sprint car race just short time later, in Pennsylvania, also ran in the feature event during that April show.

The Fox 53, which picked up the World of Outlaws win at Jacksonville Speedway with Christopher Bell behind the wheel, Wednesday, is slated to be at the Danville show. Danny Smith also plans to make his first MOWA start of the season at VCS.

The $2.000 to win for the MOWA Sprint Cars presented by Casey’s General Stores event will also feature UMP Modifieds and Street Stocks. Gates open at 4 p.m. and hot laps will begin at 6 p.m. Racing starts following hot laps and qualifying for UMP Modifieds.
