National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum executive director talks about MOWA series, drivers

After each event with the MOWA series a press release, including results and a short story, is sent to media and others involved in sprint car racing. This is both to get publicity for our series and drivers, but also to let people know what is going on in their area.

Following the event at Quincy Raceways, Bob Baker, the Executive Director for the the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum, responded with this letter.

We, in turn, asked Mr. Baker if he would mind if we posted the letter, and he graciously agreed. Below, in italics, is Mr. Baker’s original letter.

Dewain,

Thanks for keeping us up to speed on everything that’s going on with MOWA this season. It’s always good to see some young, new faces in victory lane.

People are always asking us, “What the future of sprint car racing is, or will be like, in the years ahead”? We believe that sprint car racing is very fortunate to not only have a great abundance of veteran drivers currently in racing action, but also a wonderful new group of young talented drivers coming into sprint car racing from many different forms of racing. Mini-sprints, micros, go carts, off-road racing, and other forms of racing are developing great drivers that have a desire to race sprint cars in their future years. So, from our perspective, the talented drivers heading towards sprint car racing seem to be an assurance that the desire to race sprint cars is on it’s way in our direction. So, things are looking up.

Congratulations to Paul Nienhiser and his family and crew on their first 410 sprint car win with MOWA! And, thanks again for keeping us informed on what is going on with MOWA.

Bob Baker
Executive Director
National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum

It is great to see that our series, and especially our drivers, are catching the attention of others in the Sprint Car racing world. Hopefully, this kind of response continues, as we work hard to become the best 410 Sprint Car series in the midwest.
