Unfortunately in 2014, open wheel racing at Macon Speedway has NOT had any luck. The MOWA Sprint Car Series presented by Casey’s General Store found this out first back on July 26th on what was supposed to be the finale of Illinois Sprint Week. Instead, it was the 2nd rainout in 2 days as Jacksonville Speedway was claimed by the rain. Last night, things started out looking good, but QUICKLY the skies clouded up, then the rain poured down. A brief stoppage offered a slim hope of racing, but a shower even heavier than the first dashed those hopes. Unfortunately this event will not be rescheduled this season.
