The Monster Energy™ Sprint Car Series event at the Fayette County Speedway near Brownstown, Illinois on Friday night was postponed by rain after the heats were run. The event will be made up with double features at a date yet be determined.

Twenty-two Midwest Open Wheel Association sprint cars were in action at the tight ¼-mile oval. Springfield, Illinois’ Jordan Goldesberry turned quick time at 10.725 seconds. Brad Loyet, Robbie Standridge and Jim Moughan Jr. won heat races before the rains came.

Joey Moughan will start on the pole for the make-up feature. Stay tuned for the make-up date that will include double features!

The series next event will take place at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday, June 17. It will be part of a weekend doubleheader, as they will also embark on the St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, Missouri on Saturday, June 18.
